Apex Legends: 10 Camping Spots To Watch Out For
When you play Apex Legends, watch out for these places where people tend to camp.
In a battle royale, camping only works in certain situations, but it is possible to do so. Whether or not a place is worth camping depends on how the circle moves, how many players drop there, and what they find there. It can help you sneak up on enemies or stay alive so you can get a better place.
In Apex Legends, you don’t just have to worry about a single camper; you have to deal with a whole team. Most of the places to watch out for are whole places to see. This can make it hard to turn if you aren’t ready to deal with three people holding it down.
Rift
On the Olympus Map, Rift is a very important place. Even though it’s close to the edge, the circle often ends there. If you and your team drop here, there are a lot of buildings to loot and high points to camp at.
If you come here at a final circle, you will definitely run into a team that has already taken Rift for themselves. It’s best to start a fight as soon as you get there, because if they’ve been sitting there the whole time, they might not have warmed up their aim.
Fight Night
People know that Pathfinder loves to box. His heirloom is a pair of boxing gloves, and Olympus has a POI just for them. In the middle of Fight Night is a big ring for boxing. The ring itself is filled with pods that cargo bots usually drop.
This is a popular place for players to land because there is a lot of loot to be found here. If they beat the other teams that land here, they will probably stay until they have to leave. They could be hiding anywhere in the arena, from the area around the ring to the hallways where people walk to their seats.
Hammond Labs
In Apex Legends, Hammond Labs is a major POI. It is the main way to get from the north side of Olympus to the south side. The hallways in the lab are long and windy, and there is a lot of stuff on the floor. Also, there are loot bins all around the outside of the building.
There’s more than enough to outfit your whole team and wait to see where the circle leads. If you move from one end of the map to the other, you’re sure to run into another team. The easiest way to find them and fight back is with a can of Bloodhound.
Atmostation
Atmostation is the most interesting place on Broken Moon’s southern side. When the circle gets closer to this lower part of the map, a camping team will be here for sure. Because of the hills and roofs, it’s easy to avoid other teams and stay hidden.
In addition to giving you cover, it lets you see any team coming from the outside. This is what campers want in a place to stay. If a team is shooting at you here, use the cover to your advantage as you move toward them.
Cultivation
Cultivation is a small point of interest (POI) with a group of buildings. This is a popular place to camp because it’s easy to move around. The ground is flat, but there are many walls and buildings to hide behind if you are being shot at. It also has a few ziplines that you can use to get away quickly if you need to.
Teams of Apex Legends like to camp here because of where it is on the Broken Moon map. You can kill enemies that are moving around the bottom of the map, or you can wait until the last couple of circles to do so. If you go up high, it will be easy to see when another group is coming. Just don’t let them see you first.
The Promenade
In the middle of Broken Moon are the North and South Promenade. Each side has a porch-like area with loot to grab and a great view of the Terraformer Point of Interest. Teams will have to go through the Promenade to get to the other side of the map if they don’t want to go all the way around it.
That makes it a great place to camp. A fast zipline connects the two porches, so you can get back to your team quickly. You can also control who comes and goes from the area from there. Campers here can’t miss any teams coming their way.
The Geyser
In Apex Legends, the Geyser is a big draw on World’s Edge, but that doesn’t stop teams from setting up camp there. There’s no way to sneak into the area from the ground, and if you dive in with your team, you’ll be seen. If you move here later in a match, you will definitely run into some campers.
It has a lot of buildings that can be stolen from and a wide view of the area around it. Also, the geyser in the middle lets a team stationed here get up into the air and see if anyone is getting closer. If an enemy player camps here, the best way to stop them is to use artillery from Gibraltar or Bangalore to force them inside and then surround them.
Lava Siphon
On World’s Edge, Lava Siphon is in the southern part of the map. Even though it is one of the places with the most loot, players usually look elsewhere. If you just want to stay alive for a long time, it makes sense to land here early, get ready, and camp.
You can ride the gondolas safely around the area and wait for anyone who might come through. Go to the tops of the buildings to see if any enemies are coming your way. You and your team can set up camp here until the circle tells you to go somewhere else.
The Epicenter
At the Epicenter of World’s Edge, all the damage to the map started. It is hard to get to because there are hills and ice all around it. If you stay low, you’ll be at a disadvantage, but if you go up high, you’ll be on the same level as those coming over the hills.
It has lots of things to take and places to sleep. It is in the north-central part of the map and has a high chance of being safe. If the circles let you, you can sit on one of the structures for almost the whole Happy Wheels game without seeing another player.
Fragment West
In all of Apex Legends, Fragment West might be the most popular place to land. This World’s Edge point of interest has a lot of buildings where players can loot and hide. The western building and its roof are seen the most. Camping teams often stay there.
If you can make it through the fight that will happen when you land there at the start of a match, you’ll be in charge of the building. From the top, you can see a lot of the middle of the map and shoot at many moving enemies. If you see someone camping here, the best thing to do is snipe them from a distance.
